Chopped and Bobbed

What is Chopped and Bobbed?

It is a combination of two classic styles of motorcycle’s that can relate to everyone in today’s world.

Starting with the typical “Bobber” from the 1930s.

The typical look includes, stripping excess bodywork from a motorcycle; removing the front fender, and shortening the rear fender, which is "bobbed" and all superfluous parts removed to reduce weight (who doesn’t love that little bit of weight reduction)

30 years later the term “Chopper” appears in the mid-1960s. They can be built from an original motorcycle which is modified ("chopped") or built from scratch.
Choppers are more about overall style and cosmetic’s.

Fast forward to now and combining both these classic style descriptions we get “Chopped and Bobbed”.

This term now relates to all types of motorcycles not one type as we all add or take parts off our bikes. Could be for performance or cosmetics as we add our own expressions to our bikes, they are another part of ourselves, it’s what we do and we love it, others will never understand.
